In this small town of 362 inhabitants, it is located 9 km from Cuéllar and 18 from Iscar. It belongs to the Community of Villa y Tierra de Cuéllar.
The name comes because the town is on the banks of the Ternillo stream, the suffix of Cuellar was added in the s. XIX, for being linked to the community of Villa y Tierra, but that was not its name since previously during the XNUMXth century this town was known as San Esteban del Arroyo

Church of Santa Lucia
Located in the church square, it is from the s. XVIII, it is built on an old building, which was probably from the s. Located at the entrance of the town by the Cuéllar road, it presents the image of Our Lady of Atienza, it is next to the cemetery, it is square.

We find ourselves with the Chotos lagoon, this lagoon is located between Arroyo de Cuellar and the town of Cuéllar, it is accessed by going along the SG-342 road, from Cuéllar to 4,695, turning left. It is currently dry.
